the judas theory...

have you ever thought about judas and what he meant to the apostles?... how had he not been who he was the jesus story might not have played out how it did, into the religion we know today. the other night i was thinking about this and i took a long hard look at judas' situation and what it means to us today. i know what your thinking and no this isnt about religion at all. its about modern everyday group dynamics. sad to say that judas plays a very important role in our lives and how we get along with people in our lives.

the modern day judas doesnt literally have to be the person who stabs you in the back or who sells you out to your enemies. hes just your everyday friend part of the barkada one of the boys. but this guy doesnt always get along, he is most times the center of unrest in the group. if theres some drama most likely hes right there in the middle of it. if theres a fight most times he started it. and yet, this judas continues on being one of us, part of the group in general. yeah most of the people involved will always complain about him, some of the people in the group want to physically hurt him but in the end, he still is a true friend. one of those that like a rash just never seems to go away.

funny thing is we always complain about this person, we always mock this person, we always laugh at him instead of with him but in the end, he plays a role in the barkada that out weighs all the negative things he causes. this judas is actually the person who makes the bonds between people in the group stronger. how so you may ask?! it is simple, as long as the judas is around the group will always have a universal adversary, or contra bida if you will. and with the presence of this they tend to bond tighter and closer than they would if this phenomenon were not present.

it is simple really, its human nature, people mostly unite when faced with a common adversary or in times of grief. and yes in this case the judas in question isnt an adversary perse and he doesnt really bring grief, but he irritates enough for the other members of the group to unite against his antics.

right now think long and think hard... in your group who is that person? i can say that there is clearly one person in our group who fits this bill; and though he can really get to us at times he is our true friend. what about your group? no group is perfect, every group has one.

funny huh?

true too...

think about it....
